Bayonne police arrested an illegal immigrant on drunken driving charges Sunday morning, police said.
Cops said Jose Federico Turcios, 34, was stopped for making an illegal U-turn on Route 440. When cops pulled him over, they said his eyes were watery and he had alcohol on his breath. After performing poorly on psychomotor tests, cops arrested Turcios for driving while intoxicated, police said.
Turcios gave police an address in Baltimore, Md., but further investigation revealed Turcios is a Honduran citizen and is in the country illegally, police said.
U.S. Customs was notified of his arrest and the numerous citations he was issued, and he was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
