(10/19/06 - KTRK/HOUSTON) - More than a dozen people were rounded up in an immigration raid in southeast Houston.
Federal agents went into the building on Telephone and Jefferson. Investigators tell us they found 14 people inside. All of them are believed to be undocumented immigrants.
Neighbors tell us they had no idea anyone was ever in the building.
"It's the first time we've ever seen this," said neighbor Martha Hernandez. "Nobody's there. There's never nobody there."
Immigration officials tell us 12 of the 14 immigrants are from Mexico, while the remaining two are from El Salvador.
