I am posting the original url link to this article that is displayed in the 'regular' Immigration segment on this forum. The reason why I am doing this is to ask people like "iamme" what solutions they have to stop this drug-resistant form of TB from spreading all over our country, BECAUSE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ENTERING OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY AND WITHOUT HEALTH SCREENINGS.
What do we do when half of the school population in some states is mostly illegal Hispanic children? This isn't like the common cold which all children get. This is a dangerous drug resistant virus that can have deadly consequences.
How about it IAMME? Why don't you and some of your cohorts explain what we are supposed to do, besides offering FREE health care? Sad

butterbean, she and her ilk will just deny that there is any connecton between the illegals coming here without being checked for deseases. I know how her kind operate. They turn it back on you and say, "well how do you know it is the illegal's fault"? There is no reasoning with these people. To them sympathy for these Mexicans that are ethnically like them, trumps everything. It trumps the threat of terrorist entry, it trumps any possible deseases being brought in by them, it trumps our laws, it trumps our sovereinty, it trumps the increases in our taxes, it trumps uncontrolled population growth, it trumps the increased demand for our natural resources, etc. Nothing is more important to them then filling this country up with people like them all in the name of so-called humanitarism while there is none for their fellow American citizens who are bearing the brunt of all of this.

My solution would be to legalize the undocumented immigrants so they can step out of the shadows and get the medical attention they need. Then make it easier for them to legally enter the country so they can get fingerprinted and medically screened.

But why only "illegal Hispanic children"? African Americans and Asians are a higher threat than Hispanics. Regardless of legallity, and regardless of environment, TB is a disease that usually attacks people living under certain conditions, immigrant or not, legal or not. Besides, many Americans who travel abroad often expose themselves to these diseases and then bring them back to America.

The link you placed explains it all:
"There is no easy way to screen millions of tourists and illegal migrant workers"
Leading one to believe that even legal tourists can bring in the disease.

The raising of unfounded fears about immigrants and diseases is not a new phenomenon. It sways no one but the weak of mind. People who are fearful of or inclined to dislike immigrants tend to use immigrants as a health menace as a way of making their fears and their apprehensions and their dislikes seem to their neighbors to have scientific merit. The practice is old and might have worked once, but we learn from history.

Sorry for posing questions that you find so hard to answer. It is obvious that you don't like the question because you know we have a point or you hate to admit you've been caught being racist. Can't answer the question, then you don't know the answer, duh. So why try to give one at all?

iamme- To make a statement like that is really ignorant. Illegal immigrants come from 3rd world countries, YES- MEXICO IS ONE- who have never even seen a doctor. Mexico and other Latin American countries have alot of diseases that were eradicated in the U.S. at one time, but due to illegal immigration, these diseases are now popping up all over the place. And most of these diseases are located in BORDER STATES. HMMMM, I WONDER IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF CORRELATION SOMEWHERE? Rolling Eyes
"It sways no one but the weak of mind."- That's just plain dumb. Rolling Eyes I am not going to get out all the stats all over again. Everyone has seen them. We have been over and over this a thousand times, and not one of you PRO-ILLEGAL people can comprehend this "phenomenon".

Just because many undocumented immigrants come from third world countries does not mean that they do not have their immunizations or that they all carry diseases. As a matter of fact, recent studies show that immigrants, both documented and undocumented, are slightly healthier than Americans. Naturally there are a few undocumented immigrants who do carry disease, just like there are Americans who carry diseases too, but that should be one more reason to provide medical services for immigrants. Then there is still the fact that many Americans travel to these countries and bring back diseases, plus the fact that even legal immigrants aren't thoroughly screened. The correlation with the border states could be because many there often travel back and forth between countries. Every time I take my child to the doctor they ask if we've been to Mexico. If I say yes, they automatically check her for TB. I'm not the only American that travels to Mexico here. There's hundreds if not thousands if not millions of Americans and legal residents who travel back and forth. Then there's the mystery of the disease being more common in people of colors. The darker the skin the more likely the person is to communicate the disease. The lighter the skin, the less likely they are to catch it.

"Puss amargo"? What does that mean? Confused Anyways, I don't want to pull out my facts either cause we have been over this numerous times and not one of you Anti's want to comprehend that this has very little to do with "illegal immigration", very little. I guess it's just stalemate then.

I don't know about you butterbean, but I don't pull ideas out of my own head. I go by what is reported from researched statistics, compounded with "common sense" and the likeleyhood of something happening or being a fact by certain circumstances.

Rolling Eyes Dumb and Dumber iamame! First of all, Americans get immunizations all the time, and if there is a country that they may be traveling to, that have certain diseases, viruses, flues, etc, they get shots for them. Cool
Next- 8)Why on earth do you think "but that should be one more reason to provide medical services for immigrants". Shocked Shocked WHAT? ARE YOU NUTS? Who do you supposed is going to pay for all of this you dummy? Sad Hey, by the way, the 'obese factor' they are now reporting in the U.S. is due to fat Hispanics, who tend to be much heavier than the general populations of the world. Mad
And, lastly, back up you claims please. And I mean please dont send me a bunch of darn 'google junk', because I can do that myself. Sad
