So much of our focus on terrorist funding has been on the Middle Eastern countries – and others – that manage to get multi-millions of dolars to jihadists of all stripes. But as FSM Contributing Editor Mike Cutler observes, a lot of terrorist funding is transported right under our noses, and literally, in our own backyard.

Drug traffickers are getting increasingly sophisticated in covering their tracks and making certain that they thwart law enforcement efforts designed to detect their criminal activities and prosecute them successfully.

While our government, yielding to the extreme pressure of corporations, seeks to create free trade agreements, the criminals are way ahead in moving drugs and money around the world. As our borders are opened up to uncontrolled international trade, one of the beneficiaries of this policy are the drug traffickers who are seizing the opportunity to move their drugs into our country and our money out of the United States. The leaders of the drug cartels and other criminal and terrorist organizations are proving themselves to be highly adept strategists, not unlike chess masters, while our politicians are, at best, faltering players at the game of checkers! The bad guys do, of course, occasionally get caught; only a small percentage, however, suffer that fate.
