A shooting at a high school football game on Friday night in Las Cruces is believed to be gang related, police said today.
At about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oscar Sarnaga, 14, was shot in the left leg while watching a football game at the Field of Dreams sports stadium on Tashiro Drive. Sarnaga was airlifted to Thomason Hospital, but his injury is nonlife threatening, police said.
Four Hispanic male suspects were seen by witnesses in the parking lot near the stadium at the time of the shooting.
No arrests had been made by this afternoon as police continued their investigation.
