An anti-Semitic white supremacist who told his Internet audience he may just have to assassinate members of Congress if Americans return them to Washington in next week's election says he never bothered to make a hit list because he never had plans to kill anybody.
Hal Turner, who yesterday found his comments under "evaluation" by the FBI for their "investigative value," told WND that, "Since I don't actually plan to kill anyone, I didn't bother creating a list of any type."
FBI spokeswoman Debbie Weierman yesterday told WND that a "duty agent" was assigned to review Turner's statements. "It's being passed through the proper channels to see if there's any investigative value at this time," she said.
Another FBI spokesman told WND that the agents would work on verifying the statements and the circumstances under which they were made, and that report could be forwarded to the U.S. attorney for a determination on possible charges. A request for comment from the U.S. Secret Service was not returned immediately.
