Debbie Schlussel passes on the rumor that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Michael Chertoff and Head of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Julie Myers could be on their way out the door. We here at The Realm would not miss them one bit.
While a few raids here and there have been made, there are already existing laws on the books regarding immigration enforcement and neither Michael Chertoff, nor Julie Myers, have really enforced them. Just seeing what they've done it looks to me like they tried to do the bare minimum they could to justify their jobs. Of course I don't think they did enough to even justify those.
So if they are forced out I'm all for it.
The only question is that with a bunch of pansies regarding illegal immigration in leadership positions, will we end up with even worse people in those positions?
More than likely we will.
