Imagine throwing a huge dinner party, an affair in which all the guests contribute to the feast.
Along with their appetites, the guests bring food items to satisfy those appetites — potato salad, roast beef, apple pie.
So far, so good.
But then the trespassers come, interlopers who contribute nothing but their hunger, and what was supposed to be potluck turns into bad luck.
Well, meet the undocumented workers, aka the trespassers.
Undocumented immigrants bring nothing but their cravings, digging into the delicacies prepared by others, and the guests can do nothing but watch as the feast slides down the greedy gullets of the intruders.
