Muslims are trying to show a different side of their faith in a high-visibility place: along Interstate 95.

A new billboard near the Boynton Beach-Delray Beach line encourages drivers to "Explore the life of the Prophet Muhammad," and directs viewers to the Council on American-Islamic Relations Web site, www.Cair.com. The sign sits along the southbound side of the highway, but faces drivers heading northbound.

People who go to the Web site can request a book or a DVD on Islam, said Altaf Ali, CAIR executive director for Florida.

Ali said CAIR decided to go on the offensive after last year's Danish cartoon controversy, in which 12 Danish editorial cartoonists depicted Muhammad in unflattering ways. Chapters throughout the United States began designing billboards to counter negative perceptions. Placards in California last year said: "Even a smile is charity. A message from your Muslim neighbor," with smiling Muslims in the background.

I just heard about someone in Texas who has new Muslium neighbors who plan on building on land next to his. They came over to meet him and at the end of the conversation they told him it would be a good idea for him to move,His land has been in the family since 1800s. Goggle American Pig race. and you can read the whole story. They have had their lawyer tell him he has to get rid of his pigs- apparently they are offensive to Musliums. so he is running pig races now on his property to take a stand. Hes selling tee-shirts too. I feel we all are going to have to take a stand one day soon.

I've heard about that guy. Good for him! We have got to start making a stand NOW. I dont care how Muslims are offended by pigs. They call Jews pigs. These people are intolerant of anyone who isn't Muslim or willing to convert to Islam.
Watch this guy Ellison, and Obama. Ellison is the one who wants to be sworn in the senate using the Koran. I am sure that if anyone knew that he was a Muslim, he would never have been elected into office. And Obama- hahaha- does he really think anyone is going to elect him as president? No way. He might have converted, but to me, once a Muslim, always a Muslim.
I guess that makes me intolerant. Okay, I will be the 1st to admit it. I don't want Muslims moving into America. They need to live seperated from the rest of the world.

Butterbean- I'm watching and reading and listening to everything, Is it me or has the world lost its mind?In my mind one day Muslims will be confronting people, demanding they convert to islam. I will never denounce my faith or expect anyone else to. If life here in the United States is offensive to them you are right they should leave. Thanks for all the information you provide all the time,

IMO, Muslims are the most arrogant people in the world. Why do they feel that WE have to change our ways, in order for them to get along with us? What nerve. I really think that they actually believe that they are superior to all other people. Americans have been too tolerant and so politically correct minded, that we are now taken for granted. Muslims do not belong here. They need to get to the other side of the globe, and remain there. Sad

Just ordered my tee-shirt to support the guy in Texas. I will wear my pig shirt proudly!! I think we have gone too long, giving in to letting everyone do what they want to show we were an open minded and a generous country. Now that we want to enforce our laws and protect our land and values, Muslims and Illegal immigrants scream racism. They have spent the time learning, and getting themselves in positions of importance, while alot of us were sleeping or afraid of raising questions because we would be seen as racist. Just like Muslims should not be yelling racist, its not a race thing, Islam is a religon, Illegal immigrants broke our law and are here illegaly, not a race issue either, right?I hope after all is said and done, I still have my rights in tact, along with other Americans. I heard that Muslims want their own prayer room in an Airport, how about their own airplane?I'd like to see any other group especially Christans asking for their own room away from Muslims, There would be outrage!!!
