At Denver's Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, David "Brother" Green tries to steer youngsters away from the pull of the streets. Gangs from Southern California and Mexico have moved into Colorado, recruiting members in virtually every corner of the state and trafficking in drugs and guns on a scale that would astonish most of the state's residents, top law enforcement officials said.

The gangs are more sophisticated and more violent than the "homegrown" street gangs that have operated here for decades, officials said.
And for many of those gangs, business has been good.
Federal agents are seizing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from suspected gang members every few days, said Troy Eid, the U.S. attorney for Colorado. One recent seizure topped $1 million.
"Colorado has been targeted . . . as a lucrative market," Eid said. "It's quite clear gang activity is serious and on the rise.

Take the gang members, and the rest of their worthless families, and deport them all! Let's be firm and let them know we won't live like they do. DEPORT THEM ALL -FOREVER! |

The Crips and Bloods are there and neither of those nor their subsets are formed at all by recent immigrants.
Does your signature refer to all gang members in all of the U.S or just the people that we can actually legally deport that aren't citizens?
FYI most gang members in the U.S are actually citizens and I would be a little slower to judge the people driven to gang lives . |

MS-13. Does that ring a bell with you IChooseFreedom? MS-13 is one of the largest criminal enterprises in the United States and also the most violent, far more so than say the Russian Mafia or even Al-Qaeda (sans 9-11). They were born out of El Salvador in the 1950s but are almost made up exclusively of illegal Mexican immigrants in the 21st Century. They not only deal in drugs and human trafficking but supply a growing force of terrorist both domestic and foreign.
That wouldn't concern you though. Who would mess with a fool that thinks he can run with wild horses and howl with brother wolf. Why don't you do us all a favor and go out and swim with the Great Whites. I'm sure they would love to have you for dinner. |

You should be polite because your comments just reflect your immaturity. I am a girl btw not a guy.
I do know who they are yes, and I don't deny that they and other gangs like them are a problem. What are your ideas for solutions of how to handle not only that gang and the other gangs that are a problem? i.e Crips and Bloods who are a problem also.
Do you have ideas or solutions for dealing with these gangs nationwide? (I don't mean deporting everyone)
I like my signature and its from a poem so I don't really care what you think about it. Why wouldn't that concern me?
I have a problem with all gangs not just the ones that are picked to make a stab at illegal immigrants. |

Now see, that responsible approach goes both ways. You shouldn't be calling a past City Councilman and current Charter Commissioner and successful businessman immature. Surely you are aware that this site is probably a sponsored and participated in by people whom are not overly fond of illegal immigrants setting up here in the U.S.
If you did not expect to be treated harshly, then tread lightly. This is not the forum for a lively open sided debate on the issue. You can try to change the beast but don't cry when you get bit.
As far as street gangs go. Cut the head of the serpent off, take out the leaders and seize the assets of the gang. Provide a valid education to all children, rich and poor alike. That policy is working on American street gangs (Bloods, Cripes, Aryan Brotherhood etc.), All of that is very difficult with a foreign population that refuses to assimilate and whose gang leaders are located in foreign countries that will do nothing to stop them sans an invasion by U.S. Military and Law Enforcement officials. To further compound the problem is the fact that the illegal immigrant has already broken the law and having done so exposes themselves and family members to the more criminal element of their isolated shadow society.
You cannot pick and choose the laws you will obey in a well governed nation. I too have spent sometime in the Mexican backwater and that is exactly what they do. |

Well I didn't know who you are I just know you by the couple of posts you have made in response to me. Those posts some of them WERE immature, so I was only calling a spade a spade. I have no problem with being argued with but people being rude, that I do have a problem with. Ok fair enough, I don't want to change anyone but I want to hear from the other side as obviously I do have a lot of compassion for these people. I think your points are very valid and I defently don't disagree with them. You are right, and Mexico isn't the only country who picks and chooses the laws it wants to follow, Brazil and Italy do this also. In order to have some semblance of order the laws need to each be obeyed and the immigrants if they travel to the U.S whether legally or illegally should follow our laws if they wish to have any type of existence in the U.S |

| You make my point. Sorry if I stepped upon your toes a bit hard but, that is the nature of political debate. I am sure that if we were to meet face to face we might get along. Know this, I am a second generation U.S. citizen of Hispanic descent. I love this country and all of its diversity. Know also this. We are a sovereign nation but if we abandon our sovereignty in the name of globalizim, we lose our freedom and liberty. I much prefer a coiled rattlesnake with a motto of "Don't tread on me". It is why my grandparent migrated to the United States instead of returning to Spain after four hundred years of residing on the Isle of Cuba. |
