Salem - Authorities say a dining room fight among rival Latinos left dozens with minor injurie
State prison and police officials are investigating a Latino gang-related brawl Saturday at the Oregon State Correctional Institution in Salem that left dozens with minor injuries.
The brawl involved two rival Latino gangs. Three officers and one inmate were treated at Salem hospitals and released, officials said.
Authorities would not say which Latino gangs were involved, who the inmates involved were, who the injured officers were or what caused the fight.
By Sunday afternoon, several inmates were in disciplinary segregation and others had been moved to different prisons, said Perrin Damon, Corrections Department spokeswoman.
Prison officials said they were searching cells Sunday as part of a lockdown.
