Please from now on if you post news articles, can you just post the summary in a quote and then put the link underneath it like the example below.

Would it avoid infringement if we were REQUIRED to post the link?? It just makes it so much easier to read it on one site rather than having to follow multiple links. They do that on many other sites without incidence.

You can post the contents of a press release, but not a news article. A press release is meant for distribution. For instance the associated press articles are copyrighted. If someone ever complained say a year from now, I would have to go sifting through all the posts looking for copyrighted articles and deleting them. That spells headache.
I know other sites get away with it. But its still not legal to do. I want to keep this site on the up and up.

I know that on other sites they can put the whole article on the board .
The only way I can do it - is to type the address

Just find the article you want to post. Cut and paste the summary paragraph and then cut and paste the address link to the full article right below it.

I still cannot do this - maybe you can look at the article and to enter it or delete it if it does not fit the purpose .
I am interested in reflecting the illegal movement and the response to it - response is still slow , but it is gradually picking up |
