I think the jig is up on this bill. I seen a story yesterday that said Feinsteins office recieved the most calls on a bill since 1992. I think people are really fed up with this garbage.
Just hope we can stop it.

| I'm not sure we can stop it. I think they are going to just give us double talk and vote for the bill. I'm even more nervous that the Vitter amendment was rejected. My Senators voted against it, I've been calling and e-mailing, I'm planning on going down to their offices here in Dallas next week. I am sad, I hear people shouting Secure Our Borders, inforce our laws and I dont see anyone listening. |

Congressman Ron Paul has a toll free number with weekly updates. This weeks is concerning the sell out of America with the senate bill. The phone number is: 1-888-322-1414.

| Anyone have any ideas besides calling and e-mailing? What else can we do to stop this bill in its tracks? |

It seems to me that calling and emailing have been working. The switchboards have been overloaded with calls opposing the amnesty bill. I really believe if we had not been calling and emailing they would have let this one pass.
We need to remind them that we are paying attention and that we will vote them out.
You could always go to your Rep's office and complain in person.

| I plan on going to some offices.Do you think more people have become involved since they first brought it up?Did you hear something about Reid bringing it up and breaking it into sections so that it will pass with oppossing amendments being rejected. I heard someone say its a tatic called clay pigeon, Do you know anything about that?I'll try to find out some more info. |

This is what I found so far about this tactic,
Reid Plans "Clay Pigeon" Move Roll Call reports this morning that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid "is expected to employ a rarely used procedural tactic known as a 'clay pigeon' to resume debate on the immigration bill later this week, allowing the measure's backers to dictate the number of amendments while blocking any efforts by conservatives to slow or hijack the process, Senate aides said Friday." Reid's maneuver "will allow him to add a package of supplemental spending items aimed at funding border security efforts already under way, an inducement to gain support from wavering Republicans. According to a Democratic aide familiar with the issue, Reid is 'likely' to use the clay pigeon tactic, though the source cautioned that could change between now and Thursday afternoon, when debate is expected to resume |
