The issue is not just illegal immigrants taking jobs here, but also American corporations moving jobs that once belonged to Americans overseas. Imagine spending years getting educated in a particular field with the intention of getting a good paying job when your done Finally you get the job and then a couple of years later your being replaced by a foreign worker for half the cost or your job is being offshored for a fraction of the cost. Who's going to pay for all those student loans?
Your American dream has been ripped out from underneath you and now your back at the square one..
My advice to anyone who is just starting out in life is do not get educated with the intention of working for someone else. Get educated and work for your self. Get an Idea and work it. Any big corporation you work for will just stab you in the back when its expedient for them to do so.
No field of employment is safe from offshoring these days. It does not discriminate against white or blue collar workers. It wants all the jobs.
