| Quote: | HARRISBURG - Tuesday's filing deadline for third-party hopefuls set up a handful of campaign twists - including a four-way race in Clarion County - but an election law fluke bounced many would-be candidates out of contention.
"They win again; the two old parties can't even stand challenges to their business," said Berlie Etzel, a Shippenville Libertarian who was planning to challenge U.S. Rep. John E. Peterson (R-Pleasantville). "I guess if I want to get on the ballot as a free person, I'll have to go another country like Russia or Bosnia or something."

I'd like to see third parties come together long enough just to get each other on the ballot. Then they can go back to opposing one another. Something has to be done to break up this one party system we have now.
I suppose another answer to the one party system is that one of the factions either Republican or Democrat could actually go back to following the Constitution. But what are the odds that something like that would actually take place. Not good I guess.
