Good luck convincing him. Anyways my only concern is that he be healthy in 2012 because we need someone who can travel across the country and go many places.

I think he will be 76 in 2012.

I appreciate what Ron Paul has done for the movement and hope he continues to do all he can to promote liberty everyday. However, he will be 77 years old on election day 2012. A presidential campaign ran correctly takes a toll both physically and mentally on a person. A younger person is needed to put forth the necessary effort to win the election. John McCain was slaughtered in part (not in whole naturally but in part) because he was a "creepy" stiff old man (just like Bob Dole).
The campaign should already be in the planning stage now. We are opposing forces that control the MainStream Media. Everyday is important when you have no positive access to the MSM. We have to not only defeat Obama but the MSM also. That is a TALL task and each day is important to communicate the message and messenger to the masses.

I cannot stress this enough... until the constitution party is viable nationally get out of presidential races. its a waste of resources.

Okay, I agree Paul will most likely be too old to run again. That woudl mean if he won and served 2 terms he would be in his 80's.
If we are looking for a former cogressman look for someone in ron pauls liberty caucus. Someone like Virgil Goode(he is loosing his race now)
Walter B Jones from Nc or someone like Roy Moore.

Unfortunately, there is no one like Ron Paul. He is unique in the sense that he can unite libertarians (and Libertarians) and constitutionalists into a coalition that can exercise some muscle. There is nobody else on the political scene like him. If only there were...

We need a national campaign. National campaigns bring attention, donations and recruits. How many of you found the CP through the Baldwin or earlier Presidential campaigns? Small parties that stop running national candidates rapidly fade or split into small state parties. That being said we must concentrate our resources at the local level. Politics is personal. Local campaigns are our way of becoming more than an unfamiliar name on a ballot for a party no one has heard of.
I was not happy with Bob Dole in '96. I noticed the Taxpayers' Party on the ballot. If I had known what the TP stood for, I would have voted for it. Instead, I ended up voting GOP. It did pique my interest, however, and led me to find out more.

I only knew about Cp when I received my ballot in the mail, went on Google and did some research. If it was not for Baldwin on the ticket I do not know how I would have found out about CP.

Yeah I heard about Chuck Baldwin only after going to Pat Buchanan's website and reading a column Chuck Baldwin wrote in August 2007 endorsing Ron Paul. I heard about Ron Paul in early 2007 but I was still a neo-con. After reading the column I checked out his other columns and his sermons. Unfortunately I ended up voting for Duncan Hunter in the Republic Primary. His problem is that like Tom Tancredo he is insane on foreign policy. It is also why I have concerns about Goode. Anyways after Super Tuesday when it was clear McCain would win I decided to vote for Chuck Baldwin. I believe it is the voter's fault for not being willing to vote against the duopoly they could have done research if they wanted to. I learned this during the primary while I voted for the wrong guy at that time his positions matched mine. I was not happy with Mike Huckabee, McLame, or Julie Annie so I research on Wikipedia about the other candidates. The bottom line is with the Internet you can circumvent the MSM however most of the Republicans did not which is why we ended up with the candidate no one liked.
