Are You Prepared to Lead?

Are You Prepared to Lead?
All parties have an inherent leadership. Someone somewhere sits down with others and discusses what they believe. Together they decide to start a movement, club, organization, or political party. Rarely is there "leadership" training that gives to the common man the opportunity to lead both within the party, and outside in a political position.

For instance, when is the last time you saw in the newspaper an add that said, "Come to the Republican County Commissioner Training Class", or "Be a Mayor, The Democratic Party is willing to Train You to be a Part of America's Leadership".

When did you hear the answer to the question, "so Senator, how did you do in 'Being a Senator 101' in college, just what grade did you get?". Nope, not there. "Hey congressman, did you pass 'being a congressman 201'?"

Sorry, those questions are never asked.

So, in your own boots, what do you think? Are you prepared to do any better? The CP may be armed with the right thoughts, but how about the right principles? The right programs, the right arguments, the right way to write a law to undo what the socialists in congress have done.

How do we undo the past in such a way that we don't destroy the entire fabric of America. We may be for 'getting rid of the IRS' - but, what will we replace it with? Tariffs. Tariffs? Do we know the impact on that decision as we make everything we buy more expensive? Are we prepared to pay $10 a gallon for gas, but have no income tax?

To be against what the democrats --- oops sorry, --- the socialists are doing is one thing. To be prepared to step into their shoes and lead the nation is an entirely different thing.

To that end, what books are we reading? Ask, how are we becoming prepared to lead in their place?

Leadership never leads in a vacuum. What kind of leader will you be? How will you be influenced?

Just a thought. After all, had Travis left the Alamo, and gone north just 15 miles, there are hills of stone there that are high enough that a 5,000 man army of the day would never have been able to catch them or defeat them. He just didn't know the tactics that allow that. What he didn't know got them all killed, valiently to be sure, but if he had known more, there is a great potential he and most of those men would have lived to ripe old ages.

RE: Are You Prepared to Lead?
Good post.

We as Americans have the advantage of being able to look back at our Government through the years and see where we went wrong. We can see what was working, and see what changes were made that made it stop working. The reality is that we as members of the CP, if we get elected, we won't be able to just start cutting programs and taxes wholesale, we will have to do it with support from other members. But the goal should be to start stepping back the beast of Government as quickly as possible.

We could get support to cut the Dept. of Ed., or Dept of Energy both of which are useless and do not fulfill the purpose for which they were created. Also when talking about gas tax, keep in mind the amount of money we spend on warships to be in the middle east and around the world to make sure that oil gets here safe and sound.

If we were not spending all that money Nation Building we could use it back here at home and save as much of it that we could from being spent at all.

But I think the key issues for any CP candidate should be State Sovereignty and also reducing business regulations and taxes in their state to attract manufacturing. If America does not start producing and putting people back to work we will not get out of the current crisis.

I believe it all rises and falls on those two issues.

If your looking to solve the so-called health care crisis, then we need to secure our borders as a start. How much money would be saved and not passed onto paying consumers if we stopped millions of illegal aliens from clogging up our Hospital emergency rooms and schools. The last stat I heard was that 80 plus hospitals closed down in CA. alone. Schools are overcrowded and broke.

To solve the above problem will cost you a lot. You will be called all kinds of evil names and your name smeared for it. Be ready.

I don't believe anybody in the CP thinks it will be easy to solve these problems and more, but we are not willing to just hand over whats left of our country to the elite.

I love this country too much to just be silent.

INDEED!! RAY!! And I believe it would be darned difficult for any professing
Constitution Party member to be silent! Come on now....if you are not active here - you're actively talking and/or arguing about points of our platform at work
or somewhere frequently. Everything is so completely wrong, how could we do otherwise? You know we have to discuss these things to gain new members too.

Beautiful sentiments. It takes more than posturing and pontificating.
I join other that would be pleased to know what organizations you belong that will advance the cause and platform of the Constitution Party. Mentorship is by example. If you have specific ideas, then what organization do you belong that you exhibit this leadership you allude and why? I believe you probably belong top your state and national
Constitution Partis. Am I correct?
