RE: Bombard the Public
Excellent! Thanks to the youth involved in Ron Paul's campaign, there is hope.
The only thing that worries me is that the same young people that I have talked to from the RP movement are pushed away by the misunderstanding that we are "too religious." I want to work on a master comparison - an excel sheet or something - that shows the constitutional third parties and their major beliefs. The Libertarians need to understand that there is much more that unites us than divides us. Jason |

RE: Bombard the Public
galt, FreeMan and jmac,
Why not try to reach out to the 'Religious Right'? They are a class of voters that should not be ignored. Just because someone suggests that Christian Media Organizations should be encouraged to report on what the Constitution Party is all about does not make the Constitution Party religious in nature. But what it does do is to grab the attention of the Religious Right's future potential votes. What is wrong with that?? |

RE: Bombard the Public
All:
You have got to know who and what your natural market is. Our natural market is pro-life, conservative, Christian, rural, gun owner etc. We have not even begun to scratch that market. We could grow 100 times over just within that segment. With limited resources, you just dont scatter-gun your time, effort and money. You hit the natural markets until it is saturated. Although we will take support from any segment or demographic, speaking as a business owner, I assure you that you market to your natural markets first. Sort of like having acne ads in teen magazines, rather than in Readers Digest. If we were topped out in our natural markets, then I would say start an aggressive movement towards less natural markets. We are very far from topping out in our natural markets. RE: Bombard the Public
The society as a whole is producing more athiests and agnostics through the humanistic gov't schools-IMO. They along with the homosexuals have become a major force within the Libertarian Party and libertarian movement-IMO. They aren't interested in God and Family too much if any, they may still be concerned with the Republic however-(again IMO). They were VENOMOUS against the mention of Jesus or God anywhere in association with the CP.
I too am opposed to any type theocracy! There have been thousands upon thousands of people crucified and/or impaled throughout history because of it. I must always oppose it as I would be one put on the pole as my Bros. and sisters in Christ have been throughout the ages because of their faith and beliefs. With that said, there are enough conservative Christians in this country DUPED by the Republicans who could save this republic and end the empire. If they can only be AWAKEN from the Republican Party's hypnosis over them. George W., his ole evil daddy, John McCain and much TOO many high ranking Republicans and Democrats, as well, are TRAITORS to our Republic. They all should be tried for their crimes. We are facing dangerous times each day my friends. We must ignite all true conservatives and libertarians when possible to fight the socialist onslaught that is upon us. The Obama administration no doubt will attempt to impliment the most socialistic domestic agenda since the Johnson administration. We must join together and resist his policies from day one. There will be much talk of "a mandate". Well my friends he may have won with 62 plus million or whatever it was, but don't hesitate to remember 200 million of us DIDN'T VOTE for him. Carpe Diem |

RE: Bombard the Public
Many conservative Christians vote Republican because of the parties pro-life stance. They claim to have 'held their nose' as they voted. These conservative Christians will cast their vote solely on this ONE issue and nothing else. That is why Bush was elected to 2 terms. If the Constitution Party can reach out to these individuals, it can WIN and Win Big!

RE: Bombard the Public
Not only does some go and vote Republican because of the pro life stance or whatever, but groups such as NRA and Right to Life endorse their candidates continually despite or in ignorance of their past voting records. NRA I believe hesistated until Palin got on board. Right to Life ignored the fact that McCain voted for two of the pro choice judges in Ginsburg and Breyer and that he believes in embryonic stem cell research. How can we reach such groups and, respectfully, inform them concerning voting records in the future? It is obvious they just went for the one who has a better chance of winning as well, just like the general public...

RE: Bombard the Public
We need to get as many candidates as possible to run in 2010. The more the merrier. If you are in a locality where you are the only member of the Constitution Party, and you have the ability to, then you should run, just to get the party on the ballot. The largest problem the party faces is exposure. I never heard of the party until Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin. The more people see the party on the ballot the more people will vote for the party and listen to what its candidates have to say. With the limited funds and support the best way to get exposure is on the ballot. Also, as Bill Lussenheide stated above, we need to market to our natural market. There are many more people than we know who would align themselves with the CP if they knew the party's platform and if they voted on principle. People are much more likely to vote on principle for local and state elections than they are for presidential elections. The presidential elections are about the "status quo" and, unfortunately, a third party won't have a chance until it is able to threaten the status quo. If we can elect enough CP candidates to various offices across the country, we can at least begin to threaten the status quo. The most important thing the party needs to do, though, is persevere. We have to understand that the establishment in place is going to do everything in its power to resist us and to prevent our voices from being heard. We can not give up. We must speak louder and more often and for as long as it takes for the rest of the nation to listen and hear.

RE: Bombard the Public
Wow. Just read all of the posts and glad that we got back on track. As a side-note, politics1.com lists about 30 parties that people can read about. I read about them in 2006 and picked this party. So we need not invest too much time trying to argue people in. If they don't want what we have to offer, there are several others from which to choose. Top reasons I heard from those close to me why they had to vote McCain; 1. if you had even the smallest chance; 2. you need to build it from the bottom so that we know you are a real force. So there you have it. If you are a CST member and live in a precinct where there is always one-party running, run against them. At least on TV they have to show district such-and-such on the scroller with CST next to your name on election night. Sure you might get hammered the first time, but after a couple of election cycles, your state will know that the CST will keep running candidates over and over.....and who knows, you may be well-known in your community and win. We must win one state house seat over and over to return our nation to constitutional government.

RE: Bombard the Public
I believe there are several third parties that would work with us. Today I just received an email response from the chairman of the America First Party and he said there’s no reason to believe that their party members would have a problem working with us to restore our Republic.
If we all work together, keeping the restoration of our Constitution as the goal, we can get past our divisions and work at saving the country. |
