On January 31st, 2009 The US Taxpayers Party of Michigan will have its County’s Convention at Okemos Mi. That mean every county in the State of Michigan will be asked to have 2 to 4 members of their county at the meeting, they will be asked to be willing to be delegates, who will represent their county with our State Party.

This is a very important convention to us, because we need people representing our State Party who will be actively promoting the infrastructure of our party in their county’s, that is they will be asked to have county meeting every two or three months and actively be working on supporting their candidates in there area.

We all know if we want to have a conservative party we can no longer count on the Republican Party to represent us. George Bush proved that to us. Our Alternative Party has promised to defend the principles enshrined in the United States Constitution and the moral values of the republic of our Founding Fathers.

Restoring our country to “One Nation Under God”, Returning our nation to a limited Constitution Government, Protecting the Unalienable Right to Life for All, Including the Unborn, Securing Borders and Enforcing Immigration Laws, With no Amnesty, Eliminating all Government Spending for Unconstitutional Programs and Ensuring the Individual Rights to keep and bear Arms. To mention a few Issues that are important to us.

We feel that it is important to have alternative party that truly represents the conservative leaning voters. The Two other parties need a sizeable alternative party that speaks up with some authority for the voters who our being ignored, and hopefully we can sway those parties to act in accordance to Constitutional Republic Laws.

I would love to be there to represent Ottawa County, but unfortunately I am in Iraq. Maybe one or some of my family could go since all of us voted for Baldwin.

My father was just elected township treasurer as a Republican even though he voted mostly for Constitution Party candidates. Just curious but what would he have to do to change his Party affiliation? We had discussed it once or twice before but were unsure of the necessary steps.

He would have to wait until the end of the term for the treasurer of his township. He then would have to become a member of our party and come to our State Convention 2010 .

He would be voted on to be a candidate of our party at the State Convention . Also he would have to complete our Candidate Questioner before hand and hand it over our Candidate Committee who would decide if he would represent us or not.

Roger when are you coming back home. In 2010 we more then likely will need a candidate for the Board of Commissioners from your District in Ottawa County. You should Consider that possibility!. Also if you have family our friends who would like to be members of our delegates from Ottawa County please let me know.
