Knowing that this party is mostly operated at the state level instead of the national level (similar to when the 10th Amendment was obeyed), I think that we need to put our ideas and probably our assets together for the benefit of the perception of the party as a whole. The 2009 elections are closing in. It would behoove us to get at least 3 or 4 members elected to office at some level. My idea is to identify 8 candidates who have the best chance of winning their next election, then having, either on this site, the national site, or both, a section for each of them so that money can be donated to their campaign and links to their site can be seen. To further explain "best chance" above, some criteria would include, but not be limited to: 1) Level of education/speaking ability/common sense; 2) running against one other person; 3) prestige in the community. I'll let others add to that list. It is imperative that when 2010 rolls around, we can say that, yes, we are up and coming but we had 4 people get elected last year (2009) and are becoming a force for 2010. Who would identify said candidates? State Chairman could recommend names to the regional leaders who could then interview the prospective candidates and determine who has the best opportunity to win. If there are 7 great candidates and 12 more who are also really good, let's not leave the other 12 with nothing but provide at least some support to them with the bulk of the help going to the 7. If you see this idea needs to be modified, please add your thoughts. It is a work-in-progress and by starting now, a well-formulated plan can arise out of it in due time.

If your respective state legislature's are still open to legislation for the 2010 season, please send this along to them. This is short on legalese, but the point is clear:

"Any employer who is paying wages or wage equivalents to anyone not having either US citizenship or a work visa shall within 20 days pay for said worker to be transported out of the United States/US territories to the foreign city of his/her choice."

The cost to the federal, state, and local governments is ZERO. In turn this will allow many of the 10% of our citizens who are unemployed to return to work.
