DUVERGER’S LAW: How Third-Party and Independent Candidates Can Win Elections

Duverger’s Law is often cited by conservative groups as a justification for not endorsing third-party and independent candidates who have successfully passed their strict vetting process. It is the basis of the argument that third party and independent candidates split the conservative vote and allow liberals to win, therefore there should only be two parties so forces with similar philosophies can combine to defeat the “enemy”. This misunderstanding of the sociological phenomena inherent in various electoral systems, as observed by French sociologist Maurice Duverger, has led to the deterioration of the original Constitutional Republic. Understanding this process and understanding the characteristics of the original electoral system of the United States can help us restore a government where the people, not parties, have the final say in governing themselves.

Duverger’s Law

Who is Maurice Duverger and why does he have a “law” named after him?
Maurice Duverger was born 5 June 1917 in Angouleme, Charente, France. He became a French jurist, sociologist, and politician. He is an emeritus professor at The College of Sorbonne in Paris, and a member of the French National Foundation of Political Science. He served in the European Parliament as a member of the Party of European Socialists, which is a member of Socialist International founded in 1951 as the global umbrella organization of all democratic socialist, socialist, labor, and social democrat parties.
Karl Marx and Max Engels, fathers of modern socialism, began their attempts at transforming society by forming the Social Democratic Worker’s Party of Germany in 1869. This is the basis of the “party” as a governing force, where the party, representing the interests of a specified group of people, vied for power in a government to benefit their constituency. This is the definition of “party” which Duverger bases his ideas upon. It is not the definition which most Americans understand. Parties, as a part of government, are not mentioned in the United States Constitution and play no role in a true constitutional republic, yet the American electoral system seems to have left its roots and headed straight into a socialist interpretation of the role of parties in government.
Duverger wrote a series of papers detailing his observations on how two-party systems often develop from an electoral system in which a single voter casts a ballot for a single candidate in a district in which there is only one seat available, and the candidate with the most votes wins the seat. For example, a voter in one congressional district votes for one congressional seat. This tends to set up two opposing forces and exactly describes the current American system. As other political scientists studied his writings they began to refer to it as a “principle” or a “law”. Duverger himself never referred to his work in those terms.

What did Duverger observe?
Duverger studied the electoral systems of many different countries. He approached the subject empirically, that is from a scientific point of view, rather than philosophically. However, his basic world view of socialism underlies the definition that he attaches to “party.”
As stated above he found that a system such as the American system quickly tends to form a two party system when competing candidates vie for a single seat in a governing body. He then looked at Proportional Representation, where each party would receive a number of seats in proportion to the number of votes they receive. There are many different versions of how seats are allotted, but Duverger observed that this method tended to create a multi-party system where voters are seen as members of voting bloc (such as Labor), rather than individual voters as in the American system.
What he also observed is that, although there is a tendency in a single voter electoral system to form two parties, it is by no means a hard and fast “law”, which is why he personally never referred to it as such. The most notable exception he examined took place in the United States of America. It seems that major societal upheavals, such as the political climate of the United States previous to the War Between the States, can break the two-party cycle in elections. The Republican Party formed and took power under those very conditions. Their first presidential candidate, John C. Fremont, lost. Four years later, as tensions between the northern states and the southern states increased, they ran a second presidential candidate who won. His name? Abraham Lincoln. The rest is history.
Since the Reconstruction Era, Americans have elected third-party or independent candidates at nearly every level of government. There have been 31 Senators, 111 Representatives, 22 Governors, and 104 state legislators. Of the state legislators 15 are presently serving. Rick Jore ran for Montana state legislature in 2006 as a member of the Constitution Party, and won. Five third-party or independent candidates are currently serving as mayors. In spite of the fact that the media seems to ignore or downplay these candidates, the voters do continue to vote for them.

The Hegelian Dialectic and the Two-Party System
It is important to remember that the word “party” means different things to different people. To socialists such as Marx, Engels, and Duverger, a government is controlled by a party or parties. To the Founding Fathers a party was simply a group of people who had common core beliefs but no specific role in government.
G.W.F. Hegel a contemporary of Marx and Engels, developed a system of problem resolution referred to as “Hegelian Dialectics”. It is what we understand as the concept of thesis, anti-thesis, and synthesis.
It is also the way legislative decisions are made in a two party system. Here’s how it works. The Republicans decide that they want to cut taxes (thesis) so the Democrats oppose it (anti-thesis). No one asks if the proposed tax is constitutional or not, that is beside the point. The Republicans want to cut it and the Democrats oppose it. So they conference together and come up with a bi-partisan compromise (synthesis) that makes both groups look good. The Republicans did their best and saved part of the cut, and the Democrats managed to “win” against the evil rich guys who don’t like to share nicely. Both sides can claim victory. The actual result is that there is still a tax and the next legislative session will see the same process played out over and over and over with taxes and spending rising and rising and rising, ad infinitum.
A two-party system is the ideal form for playing out social planning because philosophical social planners set the final goal, universal healthcare, for example, then use the concept of bi-partisan compromise (Hegelian dialectic) to slowly spiral towards that goal. Everyone gets so caught up in the gamesmanship of compromise that no one asks whether it is actually a constitutionally enumerated responsibility of the federal government.

A True Constitutional Republic

What is a Constitution?
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines a constitution as being the established form of government in a country. In a free state it includes the body of statutes and laws as enacted by the legislature, and in the United States, specifically the legislature and the rules under which it operates are created by the constitution itself.

What is a Republic?
Again, from Webster’s 1828 Dictionary: a republic in which the sovereign power is held in the body of representatives elected by the people. This differs from a democracy in which the people themselves vote for every piece of legislation. A modern example, in the television show American Idol, the judges give their evaluation of a contestant, but the audience determines the winner. This is democracy. A republic would exist if the audience elected the judges who then used their expertise, knowledge, and impartiality to determine the winners based upon ability and presence.

What did the Founding Fathers envision?
The Founding Fathers chose a Republican form of government because history and experience told them that democracies tend to be swayed by the heat of the moment rather than reason. They wanted to avoid social chaos by tempering those tendencies by a representative system with leaders who are accountable to the people who voted for them. It slowed down the system, allowing time for consideration and reason to be applied to any decision before them. They also wanted to avoid the dangers of a monarchy or dictatorship.
The word “party” does not exist in the United States Constitution. The Founding Fathers set up a republican form of government in which the people choose their representatives. Parties only choose representatives in a socialist form of government. We have strayed very far from our roots and the only solution is to defeat the party system and restore the original republican model. We need to experience a paradigm shift in how we think about politics and parties.

Third-parties and Independents are a Viable Option
Duverger’s Law simply states that a single voter system TENDS to favor the development of a two-party system. It is not an inevitable result. Duverger also noted that, in times of social stress, a single voter system TENDS to favor the rise of third-party and independent candidates because people become emotionally engaged in the process, voting their conscience because they feel a strong sense of right and wrong in the situation.
The United States of America is living through such a time as this. The people are beginning to see that a different form of government, a two-party socialist style system, has taken their choice of representatives away from them. The people are no longer represented by someone they choose, they are represented by someone chosen for them by a political party. They are told that a third-party or independent candidate will destroy the system, and indeed, it will destroy party control over the government, a first step toward restoring the constitutional republic.
The Founding Fathers intended that the people’s representatives and the state’s representatives speak for the people and the states, not parties. Parties can still serve a useful role as endorser or supporter of a candidate, but they should not propose or run candidates nor should they propose policy or legislation. Voting for a third-party or independent candidate is the first step towards breaking the power of the two-party system. It is the only way to break the grip of socialism which is strangling our nation. Duverger’s Law proves that voting your conscience will restore the power to the people and the states, restricting the power of the federal government back to its constitutionally enumerated limits.

Recovering All Fidelity Due to Our Constitution

There is no issue before us more important to us than recovering all fidelity due to our Constitution.

When we recover our Constitution all else that need be done becomes easier and much of it becomes automatic.

Simple unity over the simple beauty, yes even majesty, of our Constitution is really all we have time for right now.

Achieving that timely, highly engaged unity in the community of patriots, will require that those who have a pet issue for good reasons become diligent and eloquent in defining how recovering our constitution will advance that pet issue.

Giving that respect to every activist patriot appears to be the only way that that every activist patriot will come together and sing from the same page at the same time with such POWERFUL UNITY that the Republican party is shocked into recognition that there is no longer any place for the old avaricious games- NOW is the time that patriots must act on their patriotism else by default on law defined duty they contribute to the loss of their republic, their freedom and their prosperity.

This is NO exaggeration.

Our mounting debt is setting us up for a German Weimar Republic like hyper inflation and its resulting decent into dictatorship.

Our constitution guarantees us a “republican form of government”, meaning “elected representatives governing under our Constitution’s rule of duly authorized law”.
Now we turn up the heat to make the Republican Party as republican as our laws actually require it to be.
Whether as Republican or Democrat, 'progressive' officers of our legislature, judiciary and executive branch perpetrate 18USC1341 Frauds & Swindles Felony whenever they advance their unconstitutional agenda in official capacity.

Arizona is not usurping federal power with SB-1070, but the big lie continues. Why?

We are continually told by our big media that Arizona’s SB-1070 law is usurping the federal government’s exclusive authority over immigration. But our big media, including FOXNEWS, never points to that part of our Constitution which grants an exclusive power to Congress over immigration. And, it never does so because the word “immigration”, surprising as it may seem, does not appear in our Constitution! In fact, the exclusive power granted to Congress which is alleged to be usurped under Arizona’s SB-1070 law is Congress’ power to set the requirements under which an alien may become a naturalized citizen of the United States. The specific wording in our Constitution being a power “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization“!

The power granted to the federal government over “naturalization” does not override the various State’s policing powers which may be adopted by a State for the protection and general welfare of its citizens, nor does the State of Arizona exercising its policing power as outlined in SB-1070 interfere in any manner whatsoever with Congress’ existing requirements (existing law) by which an alien may become a citizen of the United States.

As a matter of fact, one may argue that Arizona, and every State in the Union, actually has an obligation to determine who is and who is not a “citizen of the united States” as outlined in SB-1070, because citizens of the united States, under our Constitution’s 14th Amendment, are guaranteed the “privileges or immunities” the state in which they are located has to offer. But those who are not “citizens of the united States”, and especially those who have entered a State, or the United States illegally, are not entitled to those “privileges or immunities“. And so, each State has an obligation and constitutionally grounded purpose to determine who is and who is not a “citizen of the United States”. The 14th Amendment only requires that those who have entered Arizona illegally may not be deprived of life, liberty, or property without the benefit of the state’s due process of law being applied to them equally, as it is applied to all others persons.

BTW, those who are interested in the limited power granted to Congress concerning its power over “naturalization” as articulated by our founding fathers ought to study our nation’s first Rule of Naturalization. For example, REPRESENTATIVE WHITE while debating the Rule of Naturalization notes the narrow limits of what “Naturalization” [a power granted to Congress] means, and he ”doubted whether the constitution authorized Congress to say on what terms aliens or citizens should hold lands in the respective States; the power vested by the Constitution in Congress, respecting the subject now before the House, extend to nothing more than making a uniform rule of naturalization. After a person has once become a citizen, the power of congress ceases to operate upon him; the rights and privileges of citizens in the several States belong to those States; but a citizen of one State is entitled to all the privileges and immunities of the citizens in the several States…..all, therefore, that the House have to do on this subject, is to confine themselves to an uniform rule of naturalization and not to a general definition of what constitutes the rights of citizenship in the several States.” see: Rule of Naturalization, Feb. 3rd, 1790, page 1152

And REPRESENTATIVE STONE … concluded that the laws and constitutions of the States, and the constitution of the United States; would trace out the steps by which they should acquire certain degrees of citizenship [page 1156]. Congress may point out a uniform rule of naturalization; but cannot say what shall be the effect of that naturalization, as it respects the particular States. Congress cannot say that foreigners, naturalized, under a general law, shall be entitled to privileges which the States withhold from native citizens. See: Rule of Naturalization, Feb. 3rd, 1790, pages 1156 and 1157

In addition, REPRESENTATIVE SHERMAN, who attended the Convention which framed our Constitution expreses the very intentions for which the power [Naturalization] was granted to Congress. He says: “that Congress should have the power of naturalization, in order to prevent particular States receiving citizens, and forcing them upon others who would not have received them in any other manner. It was therefore meant to guard against an improper mode of naturalization, rather than foreigners should be received upon easier terms than those adopted by the several States.” see CONGRESSIONAL DEBATES, Rule of Naturalization, Feb. 3rd, 1790, page 1148

The irrefutable fact is, the various states never delegated to Congress their original policing powers within their borders as may apply to aliens who have entered their borders illegally, and exercising this power does not interfere with Congress’ existing rule of naturalization, PERIOD!

If it wasn’t for Newt Gingrich, Clinton would not have gotten the global governance NAFTA deal passed by Congress. Perhaps you didn’t know but the NAFTA deal has nothing to do with “free trade” as panhandled by Newt Gingrich. It was all about managed trade, to be managed by internationalists un-elected by the American people!

Under the Newt/Clinton NAFTA deal the regulation of America’s trade is now in the hands of “Bi-national Panels” a majority of whom are foreigners, and make arbitrarily and binding decisions concerning America’s commerce with Canada and Mexico see Establishment of Bi-national Panels

What the NAFTA legislation was really designed to accomplish was the same thing progressives accomplished with the creation of the Federal Reserve Act of December 23, 1913, which unconstitutionally reassigned a power of Congress, the power to regulate the value of our nation’s currency, placing that power in the hands of a body not elected by or accountable to the American People!

Likewise, under the Newt/Clinton NAFTA, Congress’s assigned duty to regulate commerce with foreign nations was usurped from the hands of the American People’s elected representatives and was placed in the hands of a group of internationalists who are not elected by or accountable to the American People. And, this same progressive agenda has now been established under Obama’s financial reform bill. Un-elected presidential appointees now get to make ‘financial decisions” which affect our lives, our liberties and our property, the very kind of arbitrary power which our founding fathers rejected when creating a legislature elected by the people, and limited their powers as enumerated in our written Constitution.

Bottom line is, Newt needs to explain why he is so comfortable with having an un-elected body, the majority of whom are foreigners, making binding decisions which now affect and regulate America’s trade with foreign nations.

And let us not forget that Newt was also behind the phony balanced budget amendment of the 1980’s and 90’s which was specifically designed to avoid our founder’s intended method to extinguish deficits by an apportioned tax among the states. Newt’s supported proposed balanced budget amendment was cleverly worded and intended to allow Congress to not balance the budget! In fact, the balanced budget amendment as worded was to give lip service to those concerned with Congress’s irresponsible deficit spending, while cleverly making it constitutional for Congress to not balance the budget as our founding fathers intended, which if practiced, would instantly create very real moment of accountability among every member of Congress whenever the budget was not balanced! Newt Gingrich is also a big fan of the unconstitutional and power consolidating line item veto power to be exercised by the president, which our founding fathers specifically rejected and for good reason as explained by Benjamin Franklin, on June 4 of the Constitutional Convention, and reminded the delegates how the veto power had been exercised by royal governors and why the convention should not grant such power to the president:

'The negative of the governor was constantly made use of to extort money. No good law whatever could be passed without a private bargain with him. An increase of salary or some donation, was always made a condition; till at last, it became the regular practice to have orders in his favor on the treasury presented along with the bills to be signed, so that he might actually receive the former before he should sign the latter. When the Indians were scalping the Western people, and notice of it arrived, the concurrence of the governor in the means of self-defense could not be got, until it was agreed that the people were to fight for the security of his property, whilst he was to have no share of the burdens of taxation.''

So why does Newt Gingrich want to destroy the delicate balance of power created by our founding fathers and place such an extraordinary blackmailing power in the hands of the president?

In addition, Newt is also a big fan of the federal government’s unconstitutional intrusion into state public schools systems [No Child Left Behind Act] which allows our “progressive crowd” to seize control over State Public School systems and brainwash our younger generation’s minds.

If you will note, there is a very identifiable pattern with Newt Gingrich --- a continued push to consolidate powers into the hands of a few, and the un-elected, and a total disregard for our Constitution’s Ninth and Tenth Amendments and federalism, our Constitution’s plan.

It was also very charming to see Nancy Pelosy and Newt Gingrich embracing each other over global warming, especially when one understands the despotic motives behind the global warming nonsense spread on a daily basis. See:

And let us not forget Newt’s support for Dede Scozzafava in New York’s 23rd district special election when Scozzafava is a flaming progressive and is in harmony with almost everything which is revered and relished by our un-American progressive crowd!

So, the question is, why is there so much support for Newt Gingrich (an obvious Establishment team player) among some of the establishment‘s so called “conservatives”? This support seems to confirm the leadership of both political parties work in concert to give the people a Hobson’s choice during election time.

By having a two party system and each party controlled from within by an iron fist, allows the leadership of these “political parties” to argue either side of an argument during election time and in the end the establishment’s hand picked despots get elected and remain at the helm of our federal government, continually enlarging its iron fist, assuming powers not delegated while usurping others and assigning them to un-elected appointees, while our founding father’s thoughtful Ninth and Tenth Amendments exposes the evil the Washington Establishment has been practicing for at least 65 years!

Bottom line: we don’t need no stinking Newt Gingrich!

Today is another dark day in the ongoing attack on America’s constitutionally limited system of government. The passage of today’s financial reform bill is a lethal blow to America’s guarantee to a Republican Form of Government, a key element of which is to have elected representatives, and only elected representatives, adopting rules and regulations which affect the people’s lives, liberties, and property.

Republican Senators Scott Brown-Mass., Susan Collins-Maine, and Olympia Snow-Maine, decided today to ignore our constitutionally limited system of government and they gave aid and comfort to domestic enemies in Washington who are working to transform our representative system of government into one in which appointed administrators and regulators, who are unaccountable to the people, get to make decisions which directly and indirectly affect the people’s unalienable rights. Two of these Senators, Susan Collins and Olympia Snow, were also instrumental in the Obama Administration's usurpation of power to interfere with the people’s unalienable right to make their own decisions regarding their health care needs.

But what is most remarkable about the past six months is that not one of our Republican members of Congress, to the best of my knowledge, has sounded the alarm as to how our representative system of government is being undermined and transformed into a tyrannical system of government in which un-elected appointees get to make decisions which affect our lives, our liberties and our property --- the very kind of system which our founding fathers fled.

As to Snow, Collins and Brown, hopefully they are punished for their disloyalty to our Constitution in a manner befitting the traitors they are.

Summary : The repossession of our Constitutions and our Constitutions’ duly authorized law, by means of the law as it currently exists in Virginia, can save Both Liberty And Our Republic whole.
Most ‘progressive’ and neo-con encroachments against our Constitutions and unalienable rights qualify as felony in personal capacity only so that those acts are VOID of lawful authority - not just voidable; and those officers are not lawfully protected with sovereign immunity.
Prompt recall by indictment is obligated by law for those officials in the judiciary, legislature and executive branch who behaved as if felony were a prerogative of their rule.
Should those wrong doers repent before indictment, surrender to their Governor, and swear obedience to our Constitution and duly authorized laws, their Governor may find good cause and utility in pardoning them.

Patriots may lawfully give the United States an American version of England’s ‘Glorious Revolution’.

When done according our constitutionally mandated REPUBLICAN GOVERNMENT’S rule of duly authorized law the revolution will be without bloodshed.

America’s ‘Glorious Revolution’ of 2010 is begun in two patriot actions:

FIRST: the Tea Party people, friends, candidates and officials publicly affirm their obligations to support and defend our Constitutions according to our duly authorized laws 18USC4 and VA18.2-482. This serves to strengthen Governor Bob McDonnell’s resolve to fulfill his obligatory duties and serves to proactively encourages honor among our honorable and discourages a repeat of historic customary trespasses into felony taken as a prerogative of rule.

SECOND : by a petition invoking Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell’s constitution and statute bound duty to suppress the daily open insurrection of the Judiciary in Virginia and its officers is available at this link . The petition offers a path for reestablishing the rule of our Constitutions and their duly authorized laws without chaos, significant cost and without disruption of lawful business. Lawful business will actually be more secure and at liberty.
Once our judiciary in on a short constitutional leash those ‘progressive’ officers of the executive branches and legislatures may either straighten themselves or be recalled by indictment.

As Patriots, please consider the usefulness of the following laws:
Even if your state does not directly provide remedy by such beautiful statutes, you can take advantage of Virginia law because a cause-of-action can be assigned to a Virginian so that Virginia courts and Virginia law must apply even in Va. federal court .

VA18.2-481(5) Virginia Statutory Treason where resisting " the execution of the laws under the color of its authority " is a class II felony. Since no agent of the sovereign has official authority to perpetrate treason all such crimes are committed in personal capacity ONLY. If the perpetrator ascribes his guilt to the sovereign (for immunity) the perpetrator commits an additional count of VA18.2-111 statutory embezzlement.

VA18.2-111 Virginia Statutory Embezzlement of the law were officers of the executive or judicial branch of Government (US of state) perpetrate “. If any person wrongfully and fraudulently use ” . . “ any ” . . “ bill, ” . . “order, ” . . “ or any other personal property, tangible or intangible, which he shall have received ” . . “ by virtue of his office, ” . . “ he shall be guilty of embezzlement. ” . . .”
A) where the property in question is the duly authorized public record of public law,
and being non-real estate is therefore personal property covered by VA18.2-111, and
B) where VA18.2-111 is applicable to EVERY officer of the court ( including every member of the Bar) whose office is to administer the public records of duly authorize law to the people, such that those officers must be stewards and custodians of those records, else they could not perform their job, and whereby they receive those records in trust by virtue of their office. The same holds true for officers of our legislature and executive branch.

All such VA18.2-111 and VA18.20481(5) felonies when propagated and perpetrated with the aid of wire or mail are also felony violations of the Code of the United States of America:

US Code TITLE 1 8 > PART I > CHAPTER 63 > “§ 1346 . Definition of “scheme or artifice to defraud” For the purposes of this chapter, the term “scheme or artifice to defraud” includes a scheme or artifice to deprive another of the intangible right of honest services.”

US Code TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 63 > “§ 1341. Frauds and swindles Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or “ . . . . “ or attempting so to do, places in any post office or authorized depository for mail “ . . . “ any matter or thing whatever to be sent or delivered by any private or commercial interstate carrier, or takes or receives there from, “ . . .”, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. “ . . .”

US Code TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 63 > § 1343. Fraud by wire, radio, or television Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud”. .

These laws permit us to set the ground of battle so that the enemy will mostly surrender without a costly fight. Consider the counsel of Sun Tzu’s “ Art of War ”:

The other day I needed to go to the emergency room. Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my GREEN HAT that I got from Newsmax when I had subscribed to the magazine.

When I went into the E.R., I noticed that 4/6 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren't that sick after all. Cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time. Try it the next time you're in need of quicker emergency service.

At the Laundromat, three minutes after entering, I had my choice of any machine, most still running.

Don't try it at McDonald's though. The whole crew got up and left and l never got my order.

There can be little doubt that America, along with the west as a whole, is being set up for a total collapse in which life as we know it will be fundamentally altered and rebuilt around a collectivist model managed and controlled by the same criminals who engineered the crisis in the first place.

America has been targeted for an economic, military, and social coup d’état by globalists who know that to get people to accept a new way of life under the heel of the new world order requires that the pillars of everything they knew before are completely pulverized. Freedom, prosperity, and community have no place in a “post-industrial revolution,” and every assault on the living standards of American citizens is designed to infect and wither these ideals.

We are looking at a road warrior style collapse of society within two years if the entities that orchestrated the crisis are allowed to pose as saviors and institute their austerity fascism, carbon taxes, “green economy,” post-industrial revolution, and the evisceration of America’s first world status that will inevitably follow if such measures are allowed to pass.

The plan for America is to sink the country into chaos so that it can be swallowed whole and consumed as part of the march towards global government. The globalists want to do to America what they have done to the third world, by creating an underclass of impoverished and deprived citizens who are dependent on government for their every need.

Millions of Americans have been dumbed-down to the point where, as major newspapers announce that the country is heading into a third great depression, as unemployment soars, as police departments announce they will no longer be responding to crimes, and as infrastructure crumbles, the top story this afternoon on Yahoo.com, the most heavily trafficked website in the country, was about how Brad Pitt had shaved off his beard.

Likewise, as society and the economy collapses around them, Americans are more concerned about protesting the decision of a basketball player to move to another team.

However, a growing number of grass-roots movements are now bringing people together under the banner of resentment against big government. This has led to political victories for anti-incumbent candidates who now seriously threaten to dilute the two-party power monopoly in Washington this November. This has led individuals close to Obama to openly invoke the need for a domestic terror attack as the only way to rescue his presidency and the wider collectivist agenda.

Globalists are in a race against time to completely destroy everything America stood for so that they can rebuild the country in their likeness. This is why central banks are now abandoning the U.S. dollar as part of the move towards a global union currency backed by a global central bank that will become the world reserve currency for the new world order.

This is why police departments are now announcing they they will no longer respond to a whole list of crimes including burglary. A certain level of lawlessness has to exist in order to justify the total police state lockdown that will inevitably ensue after widespread rioting begins to break out.

This is why crippling austerity measures are being rammed through even as income drops and jobs are lost. Basic services will skyrocket in price or be cut off completely as America is subjected to the “shock therapy” that has been inflicted on lesser nations as a way of gelding the people to accept sub-standard lives of squalor and dependence. Energy prices will soar after the disastrous “green economy” initiatives are implemented, while toll roads, Obamacare, and all manner of new consumption taxes will dry up whatever disposable income they have left.

The world government will be built from the ashes of the worldwide depression engineered by the financial terrorists who have set in motion a chain of events that only has one conclusion unless we are able to properly identify these globalists for who they are.

Anyone in a position of power who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group or the Trilateral Commission is an enemy of America and needs to be stripped of their office, shorn of their influence and identified as a criminal working behind the scenes to bring about the end of the United States as a first world nation.

Only through exposure and a political drive to squeeze the influence and power of these individuals can we hope to lessen the impact of their nightmarish plans for America.

The economic frustration of the American people is reaching a fever pitch. Millions of Americans can’t seem to get a good job no matter what they do. Millions of others are working as hard as they can but find that they keep coming up short at the end of the month. Record numbers of Americans are still going bankrupt. Record numbers of Americans are still losing their homes. Meanwhile, the U.S. economy is a dead horse at this point. It just doesn’t have any more to give. At this point the U.S. economy is like an aging rock star that requires larger and larger doses of drugs each night just to be able to perform. The U.S. economy is addicted to “drugs” such as debt and government stimulus, and years ago those things really supercharged the U.S. economic system, but at this point they aren’t provoking much of a response at all. In fact, the things that once “stimulated” the economy are now slowly killing it. But the vast majority of the American people do not understand this. All they know is that the economy is broken and they want someone to “fix” it.

For most Americans, all we have ever known is tremendous prosperity. All our lives we have been taught that America is the richest and most prosperous nation on the planet, and that while there will always be times of “recession”, things will always bounce back and be better than ever before.

But this time things aren’t bouncing back.

And Americans are starting to become extremely frustrated.

A couple of quotes that appeared in a recent article in The New York Daily News really embodied the growing frustration that so many are feeling at this point….

“My husband and I are fortunate to be able to move in with my 81-year-old mother-in-law. But how sad is that? I apply for jobs and nothing happens,” writes Gayle Hanson. “Who wants to hire a 59-year-old woman? My answer is nobody. [I] have years of experience, excellent references. And nothing to show for it.”

“I am soon to be 57 and considered too old, too expensive, etc. I can’t get an employer to hire me at any salary,” writes Mike Stiller. “I am BOILING MAD.”

But Gayle Hanson and Mike Stiller are far from alone.

Millions upon millions of Americans are “boiling mad” about the economy at this point.

The truth is that the United States has lost 10.5 million jobs since 2007. Many of those jobs have been shipped off to countries like China and India where labor is much cheaper and they are never coming back.

There just are not enough jobs for everyone in America at this point. The number of “chronically unemployed” has been rising at a frightening pace. In fact, the average duration of unemployment in the United States has risen to an all-time high.

If you have never been unemployed and unable to find a job, then you just don’t know how soul crushing it can be. This is especially true when you have a family to support.

Right now, there are 9.2 million Americans that are unemployed but are not even receiving an unemployment insurance check. It is easy to tell those unemployed workers that they should “get a job”, but as the chart below shows, the gap between the number of unemployed workers and the number of job openings has increased dramatically over the last couple of years….

But in this economy, even many of those who do have jobs are still struggling mightily. According to a poll taken in 2009, 61 percent of Americans ”always or usually” live paycheck to paycheck. That was up significantly from 49 percent in 2008 and 43 percent in 2007.

And Americans are still losing their homes in record numbers. Banks repossessed an average of 4,000 south Florida properties a month in the first half of 2010, which was up 83 percent from the first half of 2009.

Meanwhile, demand for homes is dropping through the floor. The Mortgage Bankers Association announced on Wednesday that demand for loans to purchase U.S. homes sunk to a 13 year low last week, and refinancing demand also plummeted despite near record-low mortgage rates.

So considering all of these statistics, is it any wonder why so many Americans are so pessimistic?

According to a recent poll conducted by Bloomberg, 71% of Americans say that it still feels like the economy is in a recession.

But the truth is that we haven’t seen anything yet.

Things are going to get much worse.

Already, Federal Reserve policymakers are discussing what steps they might take to stimulate economic activity “if the outlook were to worsen appreciably”.

So can more economic stimulus help?

To a limited extent.

The Federal Reserve and the U.S. government will likely try to inject more debt and more “economic stimulus” into the system to try to shock the economy back to life.

But the more debt the U.S. government takes on the worse our long-term problems are going to get.

The reality is that the U.S. economic system is broken, and there is simply not any “quick fix” that is available that is going to get things back to normal.

So on an individual level, what should we all do?

Well, we all need to start becoming a lot less dependent on the system.

We should all consider how we can start our own businesses, grow our own food and trade within our own communities.

If the entire system is starting to break down, it is those who are the least dependent on the system that will have the best chance to prosper during the times ahead.

The United States as we know it has ended, Alex Jones warns, as the nation has lost its credit rating with China, its Dollar reserve status and faces saddling debt and cuts in programs and services.

Sadly, the U.S. can expect to see itself picked-off by the same IMF-style austerity measures that have driven Greece and Spain into riots, and long imposed control on vulnerable 3rd World countries throughout the globe. A financial coup d’etat has taken place over the past two years, and the global elite are moving to consolidate the pieces– except where patriots have been strong enough to stand up and say no.

Already, many cities and communities across the U.S. have announced cuts to basic services and an inability to police or otherwise protect its populations. Astonishingly, Oakland California’s police chief announced “44 situations that his officers will no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, car wrecks, identity theft and vandalism.” Elsewhere, as in Ohio and border areas, sheriffs are simply informing their people to arm themselves because law enforcement cannot guarantee a response.
