I re-registered
I re-registered from Republican to Constitution Party over 6 months ago, and i'm still registered as a Republican.
And the Arizona Secretary of State still hasn't counted anyone's vote for Chuck Baldwin. I'm pretty sure Arizona has more then 0 votes for Chuck Baldwin cause I voted for him. Oh and I voted for a Libertarian that was running against McCain's senate seat about 4 years ago when his senate seat was up, so don't blame me. (Why Libertarian? I don't do Democrats.) P.I.N. There is a lot more the CP and the LP have in common than that which divides them. It is too bad the zealots in both camps don't see it that way. (Why Libertarian? I don't do Democrats.) I have recently come to believe Libertarians are part of the problem. Neo-Republican concept originating from Libertarians: -Free Trade -Open Borders -Atheism -Pro gay special rights -Cutting taxes while Democrats increase spending (RECKLESS Deficit spending) -A Libertarian running against John Kyle's senate seat of Arizona had a website, and it was a pity party for Indians, blaming whitey for everything. So i'm guessing there is some sort of Affirmative Action streak in the Libertarian Party. It may have not been there before, but it's there now. -Fascination with "privatization" and "government programs." Like Social Security "privatization". Libertarians want to privatize everything; roads, jails, judges, military; hilariously funny concept these days with the DOW at 8500. P.I.N. Protectionist Isolationist Nativist |

RE: I re-registered
Well, in the defense of Libertarians, I have to argue with a couple of things, Pin. The 'atheism' and 'p.g.s.r.' are a little misleading. The party doesn't actually promote atheism or special gay rights, but they do defend those choices by people. They are more along the lines of 'a person's religion and sexual orientation are their own choice, and that's their right, but those things shouldn't be forced on others.'
My biggest opposition to the Libertarians are their stances on abortion, immigration, and hard drugs. Conversely, there are a couple of things I agree with them more on than I do our own party - namely marijuana legalization and the whole religion thing (I think some in our party go a little too far with it). But when there's no CP candidate running, I vote Libertarian, and here in MN the CP and LP get along well, often fighting for the same causes. If Libertarians want to be atheists that is their right. Just like it is my right to tell many Libertarians they are political snobs in many ways.....I mean, Bob Barr? The guy has CIA written all over him! But I don't have a problem with Libertarians or Atheists. On the other hand, if one insults me for being a CP member or a Theist and you'll have a fight on your hands. Political Snobbery = Big mouths speaking drawing from a limited source of political wisdom. Human arrogance never disappoints barging in where it is not invited. |
