Whats the word on write-in in CA
I just wanted to know the status on write in votes in California?

Have they been counted and have they been added to the total
of votes that Chuck Baldwin got during the election?

Last time I checked there were none, has that changed?

The Secretary of State of California will certify the vote on December 2nd.

If the same percentage holds in California for write that Chuck Baldwin got in other states, I estimate that there will be 2 to 3 Thousand votes for him in California or MORE.

So, we should see a total vote count to be around 185,000 to 190,000?
Thanks Bill for the info. I live in the district you will be running for. I would love to get together and find out how I can help get the word out.

RE: Whats the word on write-in in CA
All:

Much of my information came from SOS sites and David Leips well respected Presidential Atlas available at http://www.uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/ . Each state may be clicked on to see totals, (click on the "+" sign to see results for third party candidates).

The latest total from the SOS of Texas shows over 5000 write in votes!, close to what is being reported on Leips site.

I inadvertantly left New Jersey out of the previous list and have included below. There are still 4 more states to report write in votes, which will boost the 194,727 listed below. Had California been able to have ballot access, Im sure our national total would have been 250K+ .

I wanted to extrapolate our California total with a lower estimated methodology and then be presently surprised. We only have Orange County information so far, and I am using this to extrapolate totals. Keyes overall total for California was 39,620, of which he received 8.97% in Orange County. Extrapolating that same metric out for us, would equal about 3600 votes for Baldwin/Castle from California, but I wanted to estimate on the low side, using ratios for McCain and Barr. The SOS of Calif. has been delayed and will not certify the vote for the whole state until December 13th. Using the median between the two ratios I have calculated, California will be close to 3000 votes, which I updated on the list. - Your Friend, Bill Lussenheide
