RE: Ballot Status for 2012
If Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura run on the Libertarian Party ticket, the CP should go all out in gaining ballot access.

RE: Ballot Status for 2012
If I had the time, I would attempt to see what the differences are in the parties. It is like defending the freedom of speech without having to agree with all of the speech, I can do that. I know many are not going to go along with any 3rd party coalition but we may have to do this in an attempt to restore our rights. We can't stand around waiting for everyone to agree with us. As time goes on, there are more and more bills being penned to take away American rights. And is it not any of these 3rd parties that are pinning them but are presented by the GOP or DEM parties that seem to be so cozy with the Authoritarian European style of Governing.

I am not sure what you are saying. Are you saying the CP should cross endorse such a ticket? Or should get on as many ballots as possible to offer an alternative to such a ticket? I don't see too many CPers getting very excited about Jesse Ventura as Ron Paul's running mate. Perhaps Virgil Goode or Tom Tancredo or even Gary Johnson but not Ventura.

I think this is more wishful thinking on the part of Alex Jones...I'm not taking it too seriously.

Here are the numbers from the latest print edition (December 2011) of Ballot Access News: Libertarians on in 29 states; Greens on in 15 states and DC; Constitutionalists on in 12 states; Americans Elect on in 11 states which is up 4 from November. No changes for other alternative parties.

RE: Ballot Status for 2012
I have/had enough signatures to put the CP on the Arizona ballot for 2012, but was told by the Arizona CP that National does not want the signatures. I've PO'd a lot of backers who worked hard on the Arizona reservations as well as in Tucson and NE Arizona, so they will most likely not do the same petitioning for ME as an Independent.

National is so caught up with the corrupt Virgil Goode that they can't see past the few dollars they think he and Edens Curve and any past lobbying efforts can bring to the party. In that case, we are DONE as a party.

Who is the "we" you speak of?

"we" = the various groups of individuals acting collectively as a viable third party.

WHY WOULD I SAY THIS?

1: The CP stands for anti-corruption.
2: The CP stands for non-perversion.
3: The CP is actively supporting, has hired and is working with a man (potentially pushing him as a viable POTUS candidate) who has used tax payer funds directed to his buddy to make a gay coming of age pornographic movie, as well as diverted tax payer funds to lobbyists who never delivered on the jobs or businesses as promised, YET, returned the funds to this very man who claims to be an honest decent human being.

There is no reason that the CP should or would PREVENT turning in petitions to gain ARIZONA BALLOT ACCESS, unless someone in charge was up to no good. I have no idea why this would come into play.

That's enough to knock the wind out of anyone's sails... Much like, placing a well known pedophile in charge of a kindergarten classroom and expecting good results. BTW, I am not -in any way- accusing any member of the CP to be a child molester, but merely using the analogy to try to get the point across.

RE: Ballot Status for 2012
Here are the latest numbers from the January 1 print edition of Ballot Access News: Libertarian Party 29 states (no change from Dec); Greens 15 states and DC (no change); Americans Elect 15 states (up four from Dec) and Constitution Party 12 states (no change). The steady progress of Americans Elect really demonstrates the power of money in achieving ballot access. Having a well coordinated game plan doesn't hurt either.

RE: Ballot Status for 2012
I just received the February print edition of Ballot Access News. Three of the four principle minor parties added states since last month. Only the Libertarians remained the same at 29 states confirmed for 2012. The biggest jump was the Greens who added two states and are now on the ballot in 17 states and DC. The Constitutionalists and Americans Elect each added one state with the CP now at 13 and AE at 16. The March 1st report could show a major jump for AE since they have now finished ballot access petition drives in 13 other states and are awaiting certification. So far they have yet to miss a deadline or fail to turn in enough valid signatures.
