Not sure if he has left the Republican Party but he was apparently concerned about the lack of fundraising. One would have to wonder why he joined the ticket in the first place. From what I am reading, no one seems to be trying too hard. But like you say, why join in the first place? Its no surprise to me. I heard Chuck say in Phoenix that he would not run again unless the money was there upfront. That's the problem. people are long on "I support you" and short on "I will fund you".
The voter is used to letting the corporations fund the candidates and then just showing up to vote for whoever the TV says is the front runner. Its amazing to me that they can't figure out why once that candidate is elected, that they represent special interests and not the people. The Moral of the story is, if we want them to run, we need to fund them. Ray http://www.cpmo.us |

You say this like all of us are working 40+ hours a week and have money to spare. The truth is at a 42% unemployment rate. 3rd parties are having a tougher time than ever.

RE: Montana Governor candidate Robert Fanning announces his Lt. Governor running mate is
Wrong. I say this as a guy who understands what it means to be flat broke, but still able to contribute my time and occasionally money. I know what its like to have a mortgage, 3 kids and a wife who like to eat and have a roof over their head. I know what its like to stick by my principles and suffer financially because of it.
I say this as a guy who has stood out in the heat for days at a time gaining signatures so that the CP and our candidates would have ballot access. I have done this in two different states. Last election I tried to get people to donate to Chuck Baldwin's campaign by example. I donated first and encouraged others to do so. It did not result in much. People just wouldn't give five or ten bucks. Then we complain that the media doesn't take our candidates serious, when we haven't taken them serious enough to donate. Just think if every one who voted for Chuck donated just five bucks. You can't even buy fast food for five bucks. Is there one among us who wants to explain to future generations what it was like to be free? Is there one among us who wants to admit to that future generation that we weren't willing to donate five or ten bucks in an effort to keep the freedom we inherited from our founders at a great expense of blood and treasure? Sorry son, I would have given money to the cause but I went to Mcd's instead. Facts are facts. If we continue to let corporations and special interests fund candidates, then they will get representation and we won't. I have seen lots of folks shouting amen, but very few who were willing to send in a small donation. Like it or not, without donations we don't win. http://www.cpmo.us |

Well I know I would have loved to donate more if work in my life was more steady. The truth is it just isn't. These corporations fire anyone for any reason now-a-days at it is almost impossible to budget.
It doesn't matter, cuz people are going to keep voting the oligarchy until the FEMA Trucks roll around anyway. |

The American does take a back seat when it is time to support a candidate, and once elected they continue to take a back seat allowing the financialists to control the direction of the economy.
