"qualified"
Does anyone here think our current Pres. is qualified? I half joke around with my friends that I wont someone in there that has never been in politics. Like a down to earth farmer, and I'm not so sure I'm joking at times. |

RE: Ideas For The Party
A national campaign is absolutely necessary. Here are a few reasons why I think this.
(1) A national campaign serves to unify the party as a whole and gives us a common goal. (2) Without a national candidate, the party looses credibility. (3) A national candidate gives smaller state parties at least one candidate to get behind and promote within thier state. (4) A national campaign does give more expsure to the party as a whole and this rising tide lifts all the state party ships. Just a few thoughts. - Kevin Thompson http://www.understandingourtimes.com |

I doubt that any media outlet would pay it any attention at all so there is one group we cannot expect anything out of. |

If we don't have enough candidate as well as if we don't have any enough resources than there is no any chance for the party. There should be enough resources available for it. If we don't have than the possibilities to loss the party is more. |

We are never going to win national elections attempting to go toe to toe with the established parties who have bottomless pockets supported by huge corporations including media. It is going take a candidate of the people to do it and it is going to take some fresh ideas that speak to liberating Americans rather than burdening them down with more debt. I think you know that any CP candidate is going to be demonized in the media, they will have to make fools of the press to make a point. Can you imagine telling Jerry Rivers (Heraldo Revera) to shut up and respect your elders? So a successful CP candidate will have to make the rest of them look like the sell outs they are. But it is going to have be a unique approach to campaigning. |

You also forgot to add that having a national candidate also helps state parties keep or gain ballot access as well. BTW, aren't you a Republican now, Kevin? I heard you quit the CP a while ago. |

RE: Ideas For The Party
Our 2012 Presidential Campaign must begin NOW. If we want to get a good showing we must start presnting ourselves early espcially in the election cycle. the longer we wait, the less campaign time we get. I think Goode should take the nomination for President. He has some name recognition in Virginia and has campaign experience. That could help out in the long run.

We need to reach out to people while there is still a scrum between Perry, Romney, and Cain. Right now people are undecided so if we throw our party name in there, people may be more likely to mull it over. If we wait until June, pple will have already chosen between Romney and Obama, even if they don't like either choice. A third parties best chance is to have enough of a following such that pollsters are asking people who they like between 3 candidates..... |

RE: Ideas For The Party
I've heard on Alex Jones that Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura may team up on the Libertarian Party ticket should they lose the Republican one.
Is it possible to run of multiple parties in National elections like you can in certain states ? A CP & LP alliance doesn't seem like a bad idea unless election laws prohibit it. Hmmmmmmm.... |

RE: Ideas For The Party
Ventura does this every election cycle. He stirs things up and then decides not to do anything. Sort of like what Trump does. All talk and no action.
