RE: Alaskan Independence Party
The AIP is NOT affiliated with the Constitution Party. There is now an Alaska Constitution Party. This is the political home for those of faith in Alaska.

What is the status of the ACP with regard to voter registrations and ballot status for 2012?

The Alaska Division of Elections is now tracking voters who register with the Alaska Constitution Party. It is possible that we will mount a petition/registration drive at some point in the near future. We still need to hold our first ACP statewide convention and elect permanent officers and national committee delegates. - J.R.

Currently we need to mount signature gathering petitions to run ACP candidates. We need about 7650 registered voters or a similar number of votes for our U.S. House candidate in 2012 in order to achieve future ballot access. We are awaiting clarification from the AK Division of Elections regarding our Pres./V.Pres. candidates. - J.R.
