RE: Visibility
As for the thread topic, I chose billboard. All mentioned are good. Radio is good for people who listen to the station(s) you are advertising on, bumper stickers are good for the people who can read them. The same for the others. A billboard placed in a high traffic area (like a yard sign on a smaller scale) reaches more people than perhaps all the others combined and if lighted is there 24/7. A radio ad can be pricey and is gone after it is completed. *All need to be used when possible.
A volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign in south FL proved the ABOSOLUTE BEST way to defeat the corporate media and corporate owned candidates is door to door campaigning and handing out slim jims (pamplets) completely bypassing the MSM. The volunteer covered every street in two precincts before the FL primary. Ron Paul won both precincts while losing all adjoining precincts and most throughout the state. Face to face campaigning works. Sadly we don't have the manpower for such a national campaign at this time. If we start NOW we can work toward that day when we too can bypass and DEFEAT the corrupt corporate media. And that friends is who we must defeat as well as the opposition candidate(s). The media is controlled If you find this video credable please share with as many others as possible. We must educate the public to the facts of the MSM and their most slanted reporting. Never forget the Military Industrial Complex is alive and well within the shadow government. |

RE: Visibility
Very good discussion on this post. I take away from it that we as a party must stick to the basics (a return to the Constitution, financial common sense, and preserve our rights). Whatever we decide for the big three for the mantra, we need to stick with those three until people get it. As far as advertising, I prefer billboards but when listening to Christian radio, I am much more likely to keep it on the ads. If it is political talk radio, I know that it will be 5-6 minutes before they return to the program, so I definitely change it to another station and then return to the program. Ole Miss can be our experimental state for next year on the national level. They have major elections in odd-numbered years, like in 2007 when the CST candidate for Ag Commissioner rcvd over a hundred thousand votes. I also agree with the door-to-door. Does anyone have any Nov 4th numbers for Baldwin as far as if they went door-to-door in their precinct and he rcvd a bunch of votes more than adjoining precincts?

RE: Visibility
During the Ron Paul campaign, I bought two magnetic signs and put one on each front door of my car. I got honked at a lot!
People notice the side of a car as it passes them or as they pass you. Also the print on a large 12"X15" sign is eaier to read than a bumper sticker. They only cost $10 dollars each and I believe they were the best investment that I made. |

RE: Visibility
I think the CP partys suport should be talked up by all people running with that support. As they are the party's best (talking)bill board.'.C

RE: Visibility
Out of the choices I'd say radio ads. I personally don't listen to it often but I know a lot of people that do so there is definitely an audience there. The site could use some work too, I know I was somewhat turned off by it.

If the public likes the 'platform' of the Constitution Party, they will research the rest themselves. I would go for the billboards on highly traveled highways before I'd go for radio/TV ads. I don't feel 'threatened' by a billboard message, but I do resent all the verbal adv that assaults my ears. Also people tend to walk away from the TV during the breaks in the regular programing, so they miss the commercials. If they tape a program, they FF through them. So your money is wasted on these people. Most people HATE commercials. So the best way to reach them is through something that is not so invasive. I also like the T-shirt idea. But the message should really SAY something. It should be short, but make a point, as in why vote for the Constitution Party. i agree with this i was attracted to the party because of its positive values! i alos think that yard signs work great because when i used to go to the polls i would look to see what others were voting for by what sign they had in their yard and to shame me i would sometime vote for someone just because i could remember haring about them, not because i wanted to have them voted in.

RE: Visibility
DRUDGE REPORT! Banner ad will get you massive exposure. Also I'm a graphic designer and if anyone from the CP website is here I'll do the graphics for free or for a veteran's membership to the party.
I agree the website is dull and doesn't reflect what we believe. Dear God I looked at the dates of these posts. I'm very late on this one. Even the new website looks bland. My offer still stands. |
