CP of Maine - Hangin' In There...
We have had a small but committed group of Constitutionalists here in Maine off and on, up & down for at least 10 years now. About 2 years ago it was sort of "reconstituted" and regular meetings were held, officers elected, and we registered as a PAC with the State Ethics Commission. We cannot receive official "Party" status until we can get a Candidate on the ballot, which hasn't happened for some time now. In Maine it is not at all easy to get an "outsider" on the ballot, and despite our efforts we were unable to put Baldwin / Castle on the ballot this year. Our Dear Chaplain, a WW-II combat Veteran, was arrested for peacefully collecting petition signatures near a post office. By the grace of God the Judge dismissed the case against him so he didn't have to go to jail - but his legal defense and inconvenience expenses were significant. We initiated a write - in campaign for BALDWIN / CASTLE, but results were so insignificant that I'm not sure if any of our votes actually got counted. Independent Ralph Nader and the "Green Independent" candidate make it on to the ballot, but not the CP. If indeed we are the "biggest 3rd party" you sure wouldn't know it from ME! An association has formed between Maine Constitutionalists and the local Chapter of the John Birch Society which seems to have revitalized our struggling organization back last Spring, and we hope to regain and exceed our former levels of membership and activism in the months ahead. We will persevere and I think that Obama will give us the impetus to push on and gain members. He can't wait to begin disassembling the Constitution and 58,000,000 of us voted saying we did not like that idea. Now to find a way to reach all those people. |

The mainstream "media" here in Maine did not bother to count any write-in votes. Such malfeasance is dispicable and indicates that "we, the people' are slaves of the state.

Guys in Maine,
I found in NJ that the JBS is a great way to network with people that share your views. There is a potential for building your party - try to find any local JBS events going on (like library presentations, etc.) and get a local contact. I've attended a couple events and at the end, my contact would tell the people to seek candidates and parties that share their values, pointing out that I was there from the CPNJ and would be happy to speak to anyone. They aren't coming out and endorsing the CPNJ, but it also allows me to hand out a business card and email addresses. RE: CP of Maine - Hangin' In There...
If anyone still monitors this board, we need to organize and act NOW!!! This nonsense "Stimulus Spending Package" is turning our Country into a Socialist State!! Tell your State Legislators and Representatives to file a bill demanding release from the Federal Government because of its Unconstitutional and TYRANNICAL policies!!! The Fed is lining us up for Socialism and that is a violation of the Constitution and a criminal offense that violates the vow they swore to when they were sworn into office. "To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States....from all enemies both foreign and domestic." This Economic "crisis" is manufactured and is only a ploy to make people go along with this TRAVESTY!! PLEASE TAKE ACTION NOW!!! WE NEED YOU!!

Since I was still dissatified with the GOP and had no interest in DEMS, I chose that liberal Green Party to regain full access to the ballot. As Rodney Dangerfield was fond os saying, "I don't get no respect." I suspect that all this voting fraud is based on "SMART GROWTH", a part of the New World Order's agenda to seize control and rule from the roost. No freedom, no sovereignty, no rights except those diddled down by the politicians. Abuse that "right" and we go to jail. In other words, STATE SLAVERY. |

RE: CP of Maine - Hangin' In There...
Even though you are on the northeastern tip of the U.S, the CST of Maine is important to the rest of us around the country (as we strive for 50 states). I think full access for a party was 27,544 signatures in 2008 but for a candidate it was 4,000. The numbers can seem large but instead of thinking that you have 10 or so people, imagine the multiplication if 150 or 200 of you emailed another 10-20 people this week. Keep encouraging one another. Calling or emailing another member to share success stories of new member growth will keep up your hope that you are not alone. I can get discouraged if I think that it is just a handful of us on the internet who are trying to grow the CST. I remind myself that although we have started, our best days are ahead of us.

To support my point, I told a co-worker about the party and he's on board. He emailed his parents (and brother) in Chicago and it looks like they are on board as well. His mom emails a lot of people....... so you can see how this can grow quickly in a short time period. |
